2X24 Prayer

Our desire is to become a church that prays without ceasing. This Easter, we're living it out through 2x24 prayer. We are covering the space between Good Friday and Easter Sunday with 48, one-hour prayer slots. We're asking for people to spend an hour at home in prayer that God would move in our day, and that the good news of Jesus' victory over death would transform lives.

HOW SHOULD I STRUCTURE MY TIME?

If you are unsure how to spend this hour in prayer, here is a possible guide.

Scripture Reading (3 min)

Take a moment of silence, asking God to guide your prayers over the next hour. Read through a passage of Scripture.

Worship & Reflection (15 min)

Play some of your favourite worship music. Spend time (a) praising God, and (b) journalling what He reveals to you through Scripture, song, and reflection.

General Intercession (15 min)

Pray according to what God has revealed to you and according to prompts provided above.

Praying Scripture (15 min)

Work through a passage of Scripture, praying each verse out in ways that apply to our day.

Pray by Name (10 min)

Pray by name for those in your life who do not know Jesus.

Gratitude (2 min)

Close with gratitude over who God is and what He's done.

WHERE SHOULD I PRAY?

You are welcome to pray anywhere! Pray at home, walk through a neighbourhood, find a quiet place in a library. The church building will not be available during this time; we want to pray for our world while we are in our world.

CAN I PRAY WITH FRIENDS OR FAMILY MEMBERS?

Absolutely! Include your own email, but let us know about others that will be praying with you. You can include their names in the registration form, or by letting us know via email.

What if I cancel my prayer slot?

If you register for a prayer slot you can no longer cover, you may cancel by emailing prayerroom@centralheights.ca and updating sign up genius
