Overview of Sunday Kids Church
We welcome all kids ages 0-10 (nursery to grade 5) to join us.
Check-in begins at 9:50am and our worship service begins at 10:00am.
Nursery and preschool kids join our programs right as they are checked in, staying with us for the duration of the service.
Elementary kids can get checked in prior to the service, join parents/guardians in the worship service, and then join their small group classes about 15 minutes into the service after a couple of songs with the whole church.
If sitting in the service or Kids Church isn't what your family needs, we have a Family Room just off the foyer. This room is meant to provide a space for kids to play and parents to listen and watch the service through the livestream.
What to Expect
Nursery (0-2 years old): a space where kids are deeply cared for and experience the love of our wonderful team who serves. As kids get a little older in the nursery, they can begin to engage in our toddler program which includes some singing, a short Bible story, and some interactive activities.
Preschool (3-4 years old): a space where kids are encouraged to engage more deeply with a Bible story through games, activities, crafts, and a monthly memory verse. This group of 3 and 4-year-olds get to know friends and leaders every week while learning together about Jesus.
Elementary (K-Gr.5): a space where kids are challenged to explore their faith and understanding of Jesus more deeply through worship, Bible learning, a monthly memory verse, and other meaningful activities. Each age group gets quality time with friends and leaders while digging into what it means to follow Jesus for themselves.
Fall 2024 Updates
Read below for a short summary of what you can expect as changes and updates this season.
Nursery
Now available for kids to remain with us longer in the nursery. Once kids are turning 3, they will wait until the upcoming fall/school year to move into our preschool program similarly to how regular preschools run.
In light of this change, we have more leaders serving in the nursery and have a mini program for our toddlers! This includes a short Bible story, some classic children’s Bible songs, and more activities available for this age group.
Preschool
This option is for kids who are 3 and 4, just stepping out of the nursery but not quite in grade school yet.
Here, we are creating homerooms for kids to start and end their morning in. 3-year-olds will be dropped off and picked up from the playroom, meanwhile, 4-year-olds will be dropped off and picked up in the stage room (see signs by the doors!).
After settling in and playing for a little while, these two groups will rotate through rooms with different activities. This includes a Bible lesson with songs and a memory verse, hands-on activities to reiterate the Bible story, and crafts or other activities to continue learning about Jesus in different ways. Each group will return to their homeroom in time for pick-up.
The main goal with the nursery and preschool changes is to allow smaller, more intentional classroom sizes where all kids can better engage in what they are learning and build deeper connections with other kids and leaders in their specific groups.
